Today's Sites I Like...

Here are a few sites I've been visiting.

JK Rowling's website: http://www.jkrowling.com. I'm waiting for that door to open again!!

A Funny, Funny site about celebrities: http://www.gofugyourself.com.

RockstarINXS: http://www.rockstar.msn.com

Author Jennifer Weiner's site: http://www.jenniferweiner.blogspot.com

My friend Dixie's site: http://www.dixiepeach.blogspot.com

Harry Potter Automatic News Aggregator: http://www.hpana.com (see also, www.mugglenet.com and www.the-leaky-cauldron.org)

I used to like www.awfulplasticsurgery.com but they only update it maybe once or twice a month anymore so I've been a little disappointed lately.

Oh! And about those "5 famous people I'd like to meet", I want to change my answer to add Stephen King. I'd delete Jack, Meg and John for that one, Steve's worth three celebrities! I mean, John Cusack is cute and all, but really, once you get past hello, what are you going to say? "Hi, I'm married, have two kids and always kind of thought you were cute. Ok, bye!"

Stephen King has always been one of my very favorite writers. I love to read and I love to read horror stories, and Mr. King is the best there is. From where I'm sitting right now, I can see nine King books right on the shelf next to me, and that's just in this room.

The doctor that delivered both my kids looked kind of like Stephen King, which was sort of freaky at first. But honestly though, if you're having a baby, you're really not caring about that sort of thing, you've got many other issues to get over and his coincidental similarities to a certain horror writer are pretty low on the list at that point so I kind of got past it.

I did, however, have just a tiny little door in the back of my mind that had a tiny little thought that kept saying "As long as he's not researching a role here and going undercover, we're fine." And if he was, well, he was a darn good obstetrician. And I should've gotten an autograph, dammit!

About that "Enter" key...

I went to the Rockstar INXS site and they had a section where you could vote for songs for each person. Of course, I filled out a little form and stupidly thought, "Well, heck! I'll enter my blog address since I had one. I didn't see anyone else's blog address listed, so I just thought it was something they would keep for their own information.

Well, it wasn't. And guess what? You can't edit or delete your entries so Hey! Just saying, Good Luck, Suzie and I hope you kick ass next week.

I'm not sure which makes me more nervous, having a blog that people might actually LOOK at, or having a blog that is stupid and never read.
Dear Babbling Whack Job:

What is with you? You are just not right. You babble to the left, and then say "Sorry! I didn't mean to offend!" You babble to the right...and apologize again. If you are just saying what you mean, then, say it and mean it.

If you're just babbling on and on...well, at least make sure you're spelling correctly. Reading your drivel gives me a headache. You spell like a sea-sick six year old.

And you probably smell like one too.

Love and Kisses,

Someone You Don't Know Is Alive (and would like to keep it that way!)

Instead of the thrilling Andy Gibb vs. Shawn Cassidy post I was planning, I will respond to a tag from my friend Dixie!

10 years ago: Passing the time, though I didn't know it, with someone that I knew was wrong.

5 years ago: Trying to figure out: One or two children?!?

1 year ago: I was trying to get used to Seven being in school and being home all day with Three.

Yesterday: Cleaned the bathrooms like a good girl.

Tomorrow: I think I'll do nothing! Or maybe I'll iron, who knows.

5 snacks I enjoy: coffee drinks, pretzels, mnms...ice cream and pretty much just candy in general.

5 bands/singers that I know the lyrics of MOST of their songs: U2, The Beatles, The Stones, The Cure and I'd like to say REM but heck, who can understand the mumbling??

5 things I would do with $100,000,000: I'd be selfish: pay off a big chunk of my house, go on a family trip to Europe, buy an Ipod with all the bells, whistles and gadgets, get an Apple laptop (in bright blueberry!) and I guess buy my husband NFL Sunday Ticket on Directv. See, I'm not completely selfish! *** See addendum below ***

5 locations I'd like to run away to: Sunny Southern California (prefably a beachy area), England, Ireland, Hawaii and the Trees of Mystery.

5 bad habits I have: Too self critical, picking my nails too much, not enough patience, procrastinator...singing too loud around others when I know I have a crappy voice. But not caring, and still doing it anyway!

5 things I like doing:: Playing games on my Gameboy, goofing off with my kids, SuDoku puzzles, counted cross stitch and playing record albums.

5 things I would never wear: Day-glow anything, crotch hugging jeans, tattoos (they don't come off! What happens if you're clever now but realize in 10 years, you really weren't so clever!) White sunglasses (though I do have a picture of me wearing some) and um...I don't know, I think that's it.

5 TV shows I like: American Idol, Rockstar INXS, Hit Me Baby One More Time, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Simpsons.

5 movies I like:: Harry Potter 1-3; Amelie and Star Wars.

5 famous people I'd like to meet: JR Rowling, Bono, Jack and Meg White, John Cusack.

5 biggest joys at the moment: Hubbie, Seven, Three, Sport and Maria.

5 favorite toys: My Gameboy, record player, cd burner, Tivo and email.

***Addendum***

I just re-read this and realized that the money one says $100,000,000! I read it wrong and thought it said $100,000 - which, really, is a lot less money and perfectly acceptable to be selfish with. So I'm leaving it at that, because 100 MILLION dollars is a whole other kettle of fish to share. God knows, I could pay off my house perfectly well with the bigger amount, it makes it look like I own a mansion and a yacht in every country in the world if I can't pay if off with a hundred million dollars, criminy!!

Dear "Bank":

I just got off the phone with you on yet another fruitless marathon of empty jabbering. You say you will do one thing and then you do another and to fix it must be my responsibility.

Well guess what? I'm tired of fixing your mistakes. I think I'm ready to go somewhere else, I just have to decide if I'm too lazy to do it or if I'm just gonna go for it. But you're making me mad!!

So, to put it in the words of the immortal Corky St. Clair, "Well, then, I just HATE you... and I hate your... ass... FACE!"
