And now for more exciting news...

Day: yesterday.
Scene: our house.
Cast: Five and Me.

Five: I'm hungry, what do we have?

Me: 294 things, listed alphabetically

Five: Do we have any Richards?

Me: ?

Five: Richards. You know, those round Richards crackers?

Me: Do you mean Ritz crackers?

Five: I don't know, those round ones.

Me: Yes.

Happiness ensues.

This is the extent of my week. That and sitting around waiting for 5 hours for the satellite to be switched and get a new hd box put in. That we're not sure quite works right. It seems that it might be defective. AND they didn't tell us, but it's not "Tivo" anymore, it's the "Company brand name inserted here hd dvr box". I'm not quite sure how thrilled I am with that. We'll see.

It's slow this week, though I did get The Sound of Music on DVD and I'm almost done stitching my chihuahua pillow. Thrilling, I know. I make one pillow a year for someone in my family (it takes about a year because I just do it here and there - first the stitching and then the making of the pillow). Finally after, oh, about 7 or 8 years, I'm making one for me. But Eight has his eye on it, so I don't even know if I'm going to get this one.

I love your three bands for today!!!

Your pillow is so cute!!!! I wish I could be crafty like that. Maybe one day.

Cari, it is.

Donna - they aren't hard. I like counted cross stitch because literally, you are only making little "x"'s. But, you do have to pay attention to where you are and what color you're using. I've goofed because I haven't been paying attention and had to take stitches out, lots of times.

PS Glad you like the bands, I thought of you when I was listening to them!

I at one time started getting into it - that was at the time I was doing latch hook rugs and pillows. I should try starting it up again.

Listened to Bowie Friday night - Space Oddity & others and thought of you.

My sister once asked for some enema poundcake when she meant Entenmann's.

Sending HUGE kudos to you for even attempting to cross stitch. Way tooooo ambitious for this little chicken. :)

Am I allowed to admit that I like the Sound of Music? I think it dates back to my Nan having the album, and listening to it as a special thing when I stayed with my grandparents when I was young...

Lauren, that's just all SORTS of wrong! ha ha

Allie, it's really not hard, it's just the paying attention part that's hard. I recommend not using colored fabric backgrounds, just white. The dark fabrics are much harder to see.

Jonathan, YES you are allowed. How could one NOT like Sound of Music? It's wonderful.

We LOVE the Sound of Music. It is just a great movie. We only have it on VHS old school. So we need to upgrade to DVD I guess. Still, even on VHS it rocks!

You know The Sound of Music was one of the very first films I ever saw in a theater. And I have just now admitted that I'm ancient.

And for forevermore Ritz crackers shall be called Richards by me.

It has to be capitalized as well, Dixie. "Richards".

:-)

Oh, and Nicole, the dvd has 6 extra hours of goodies about the movie. Worth it!
